I’m happy to announce that now you can search for Tweeghts and Quotes or also can find People who are posting Tweeghts on http://Tweeght.com.
Look for ‘Find People’ link in the top right navigation bar, and try finding people who are already using Tweeght.com using their Twitter username, First or Last name.
Also, in the sidebar, under search section, enter any phrase or word, and search for quotes or tweeghts that you are interested in.
This search functionality is in beta stage and is still under active improvement. You might also see some issues with it, so please let me know any bugs in feedback section, or email me at aditya@tweeght.com or @reply at http://twitter.com/tweeght. I’ll be trying to improve the search relevancy and ranking of it, but meanwhile, you can enjoy the current functionality.
Keep tweeghting, keep searching…
As said earlier, Tweeght.com is growing consistently since last few months. It’s growth was hampering it’s performance. Pages were rendering very slowly as database queries were taking insanely long time to execute.
Finally I started improving performance of Tweeght site. This is just the beginning. I made few changes on caching and database server. These basic and initial changes only made drastic improvement in performance. Now queries are executed almost 6-8 times faster and pages are getting rendered pretty quickly.
But as said before, this is just the beginning. More performance enahncements and new feature developments will be coming soon.
Stay tuned and and keep sharing, voting, and retweeting thoughtful tweets on Tweeght.com.
This is just a short update that improvements of Tweeght.com service will be coming soon. I’ve been busy in other work and couldn’t devote much time in adding new features to Tweeght service lately.
But Tweeght is growing consistently and there are many features that are requested by users. Also, Tweeght performance has been hampered by it’s growth. So main focus will be given to improve it’s performance.
All I want to update you guys is - hang on there, we’ll have an improved version soon.
Keep sharing your thoughtful tweets!
We are seeing that there are few users whose profile images are missing on Tweeght or their profile info on Tweeght is inconsistent with the Twitter profile info. It’s because we do not request Twitter server everytime we need to show user’s profile info. This is to reduce the number of requests we make to Twitter API as they have some limit on how many requests we can make to their servers. So we store the user’s profile info on our database when the user’s account is created.
But after that account creation, if a user updates her profile image or info on Twitter, then that change does not get notified to Tweeght. Now we have fixed that issue by running a small cron job which will continuously update user profiles one by one, and will make the profile info consistent across Twitter and Tweeght. Pretty soon you will see all user profiles will get their correct profile info on Tweeght as well. So stay tuned…

Hello Thinkers,
I’m excited to launch a cool new feature for Tweeght. It’s a “Keyword of the Week” series. Here is how it works -
- Every Wedensday and Thursday, we will do some interesting Twittering session.
- We will choose one #keyword, which will refer to any book or famous personality. We will mention that keyword on Tweeght.com on every Monday.
- You will post your favorite quotes from that book or personality with #keyword in your Tweets.
- We monitor and fetch those tweets on Tweeght.com from 12:00am PST of Wedensday to 11:59pm PST of Thursday.
But since it’s a Valentine’s Day today, we are starting it from today only instead of waiting for next Wedensday.
So the Keyword of this week is: #lovequote for a Valtentine’s Day.
First of all, wish you all a very Happy Valentine’s Day!
Here is how “Keyword of the Week” series will work for Valentine’s Day -
- What: Share your favorite quotes related to Love or Valentine on Twitter
- How: Post your tweets with #lovequote keyword
